QR code for a Pinterest profile
Your profile URL in a code, for packaging and print where the boards are the point.
A Pinterest QR code stores the address of a Pinterest profile, which a phone opens in Pinterest.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
A profile, not a board
This encodes pinterest.com/<username>, which lands on everything you have. A single board is a longer URL of its own — use the URL type if one board is the destination, because a board can be deleted and a profile usually cannot.
Good on packaging, which is where Pinterest traffic starts
People photograph products rather than screens. A code on a swing tag or an insert is scanned in the room where the thing is being used, which is the moment the boards are worth looking at.
Print it larger than you think
Packaging is scanned at arm’s length under domestic lighting, not held up to a phone. The print size calculator gives the minimum for the distance rather than a guess.
Pinterest QR codes
Can I link to one board?
Use the URL type with the board address. This one makes a profile link.
Is this Pinterest’s Pincode?
No. Pincodes were Pinterest’s own format and were retired. This is a plain URL, which is why it still works.
Will it open the app?
If installed and it claims the link. Otherwise the browser.
Does it work for a business account?
Yes. Business and personal profiles use the same username in the same place, so the code is identical either way.
Want to change it after it’s printed?
Make it a dynamic code: it carries a short link you can point somewhere new at any time, and it counts every scan. A free account includes 5 dynamic codes and needs no card — and a dynamic code keeps redirecting even if you never upgrade.
