App store QR code generator
Detects the phone at scan time and sends iPhones to the App Store, Android to Google Play. One printed code instead of two.
An app store QR code stores one link that sends iPhones to the App Store and Android phones to Google Play.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Two stores, one piece of print
Printing separate iOS and Android codes halves the size of each and confuses people at a glance. A dual code carries a single short link; the redirect reads the operating system from the request at the edge, in under 30 milliseconds, and sends each phone to the right store.
Always set the desktop fallback
Store links opened on a laptop land on a page that cannot install anything. The fallback — usually your product page — is required, not optional, and it is where a surprising share of scans from printed material actually go.
Deep link past the store when you can
If the app is already installed, a deep link can open the relevant screen instead of the store listing. Targeting rules let you order that: try the app, fall back to the store, fall back to the web.
App store QR code questions
How does it know which store?
The redirect reads the user-agent and OS at the edge and picks the destination before responding. No page load, no interstitial, no JavaScript.
Does it work for Huawei or other stores?
Yes — add a targeting rule for any device class and point it wherever you like, including APK or alternate stores.
Can I track installs?
We report scans by device and OS. Installs come from your store console; pass UTM parameters through the code to join the two.
Can I add a version for tablets?
Yes. OS and device-type rules can be combined, and the rule simulator shows exactly what a given device would get.
Want to change it after it’s printed?
Make it a dynamic code: it carries a short link you can point somewhere new at any time, and it counts every scan. A free account includes 5 dynamic codes and needs no card — and a dynamic code keeps redirecting even if you never upgrade.
