FaceTime QR code generator
One scan starts a FaceTime call — to a phone number or an Apple ID email, as video or audio only. Works on iPhone, iPad and Mac; other devices cannot place the call.
A FaceTime QR code stores a link that starts a FaceTime call to a phone number or Apple ID, on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
An Apple-only code, and the print should say so
FaceTime runs on Apple devices and nowhere else. A scan from an iPhone opens the call screen with your address filled in; a scan from Android does nothing it can act on. Print the code where Apple users are the audience, and put the number beside it for everyone else.
Audio-only is its own kind of call
The audio option encodes facetime-audio, which rings like a voice call over the internet — no camera prompt, no video screen. For a support line or a callback poster it is usually the kinder default.
A number is checked before it is encoded
The address is validated the way the phone type validates dialling — 7 to 15 digits with the country code, or a real email shape for an Apple ID. A code that rings nobody is caught here, not at the poster.
FaceTime QR codes
What happens when an Android phone scans it?
The scanner shows the facetime address but cannot open it — Android has no FaceTime app to hand it to. Add the plain number next to the code for those readers.
Video or audio — which should I pick?
Audio for anything resembling a phone line; video when the call is the product, like a consultation. The scan behaves accordingly and the caller can always switch.
Can I use an email address?
Yes — an Apple ID email works exactly like a number, and reaches FaceTime on every device signed into that ID, including Macs and iPads without a SIM.
Does the person scanning need my contact saved?
No. The code carries the address itself, so the call screen opens ready to dial.
